Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber rise to THB78.13-THB79.10/kg from THB77.25-THB77.70/kg Friday, as Tocom and Shanghai post strong gains. Arrivals are healthy, as growers are eager to sell on the price gains. Outside the central markets, factories are paying around THB80/kg. Traders say rain is curbing tapping in some areas of southern Thailand, which may keep arrivals low on some days. Sales in Thailand’s three main central markets total around 185 tons Monday versus 111.9 tons Friday: 30 tons in Hat Yai, 129 tons in Surat Thani, 26 tons in Chandee.
