10 July 2012: Thai USS3 Rubber Prices Rise; Focus on Cabinet Meeting

Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber rise to THB87.88-THB88.54/kg from THB87.29-THB87.48/kg Monday, reflecting gains on Tocom and Shanghai, but the upside is limited ahead of a Thai cabinet meeting later in the day. Traders are watching for new developments regarding the government’s price-intervention scheme. Outside the central markets, factories are paying around THB90/kg. Sales in Thailand’s three main central markets total around 127.2 tons Tuesday versus 167.9 tons Monday: 18.2 tons in Hat Yai, 90 tons in Surat Thani, 19 tons in Chandee.
