19 June 2012: Thai USS3 Rubber Prices Steady Ahead Of Protest

Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber are steady at THB94.49-THB95.55/kg from THB94.20-THB95.89/kg Monday due to uncertainty ahead of a planned protest at Surat Thani later Tuesday, says a trader in southern Thailand; he adds arrivals are higher due in part to better weather last week, which facilitated tapping on most days. Outside the central markets, factories are paying around THB95-THB97/kg. Sales in Thailand’s three main central markets total around 92 tons Tuesday versus 14.1 tons Monday: 22 tons in Hat Yai, 65 tons in Surat Thani, 5 tons in Chandee.
