7 Oct 2011: Thai Rubber Futures Settle Higher As Rain Supports

RSS3 rubber on the Agricultural Futures Exchange of Thailand settles 1.6% higher in line with bellwether Tocom on gains in crude and equities. AFET is supported by Thai government backing, including supply cuts and a floor price; heavy rain across Thailand also gives an upside. The benchmark AFET May RSS3 contract settles THB2.05 higher at THB131.9/kg, below the intraday high of THB132.95/kg.
