20 Oct 2011: Thai USS3 Rubber Extends Losses Despite Low Arrivals

Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber continue to fall due to a slump in rubber futures. Most factories are paying around THB105/kg outside the central markets vs. up to THB111/kg outside this morning, says a trader in southern Thailand. Prices at Surat Thani post the sharpest decline Thursday, as it is the biggest raw material trading center among the three main centers, adds the trader; this is despite overall low arrivals due to rain-disrupted tapping.
