May 23: Thai USS3 Rubber Prices Fall; Downside Limited

[Dow Jones] Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber slip to THB142.5-THB142.56/kg vs THB142.89-THB142.9/kg Friday, taking cues from bellwether Tocom. Downside is limited due to still slow arrivals. Outside the central markets, factories are paying around THB145-146/kg. Traders are expecting USS3 supply to pick up gradually as Thailand exits low-production season. Sales in Thailand”s three central markets total around 40.3 tons today versus 44.5 tons Friday: 16 tons in Hat Yai, 1.3 tons in Surat Thani, 23 tons in Chandee.
