Jul 5: Tocom Rubber Settles Flat; Thai Output In Focus

[Dow Jones] Tocom rubber futures settle unchanged in day of lackluster, directionless trade, moving in tight range of Y265.1-Y268.2/kg; no strong cues. Although firm supply-demand fundamentals lend support, rubber futures weighed by global economic concerns–which also weigh on crude, support yen, capping gains on Tocom, say analysts, traders. Trade participants also keeping eye on output in Thailand after long spell of low yield this year. Benchmark December rubber contract settles flat at Y266.6/kg.
