Mar 23: Asian Physical Rubber Steady;RSS3 Tight In Thailand

[Dow Jones] Asian physical rubber prices firm on wintering season. STR20 sold around $3,280/ton for May delivery by land to Thai tire maker; STR20 compound rubber sold at $3,310/ton, FOB, for May delivery to China tire maker; Thai rubber exporters say RSS3 supplies extremely low; one rubber factory says no more RSS3 to sell for April, May delivery. “Tapping has stopped at many places,” says Phuket-based rubber factory executive. Indonesia”s SIR20 traded at $3,120/ton, FOB, for May delivery from Padang; changed hands at $3,130/ton, FOB, for May delivery from Palembang; also traded for $3,100/ton, FOB, for June delivery.
