[Dow Jones] Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber rise to THB100.45-THB100.82/kg vs THB100.3-THB100.5 Friday, as total quantity at central markets hits lowest level to date this year due to wintering. No USS3 supply at Surat Thani central market at all. “Farmers are holding their stocks and waiting for higher prices,” says physical rubber trader in south Thailand; adds “it”s wintering everywhere now but while some of them still tap everyday, some just tap two to three days a week.” Outside central markets, some factories even paying THB101.5-102.5/kg; prices may rise further as supplies continue to be low. Total quantity sold in three central markets of Thailand estimated at 34.5 tons versus 44.75 tons Friday: 6.5 tons in Hat Yai, 28 tons in Chandee.
