Nov 6: Tocom RSS3 Rubber Settles Up On Supply Concerns

[Dow Jones] Tocom RSS3 rubber futures settle higher on supply concerns as heavy rains lash Thailand, Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries expects production to be on low side next two years. Production likely at least 6% lower this year, says Jom Jacob, ANRPC”s senior economist. Natural rubber production was around 9.9 million tons in 2008. May hover around 9.0 million-9.5 million-ton level next two years, says ANRPC Secretary General, Djoko Damardjati. Benchmark Tocom April contract settles Y2.6 higher at Y230.4/kg, close to intraday high of Y230.7. (SAM)
