May 13: Japan rubber stocks up 0.9 pct in 10 days to Apr 30

TOKYO, May 13 (Reuters) – Japan’s crude rubber inventories
totalled 9,484 tonnes as of April 30, up 0.9 percent from a 6-½
month low marked 10 days earlier, industry data showed on
Wednesday.
This is down about 20 percent from a year earlier, data from
the Rubber Trade Association of Japan showed.
Demand for rubber has slumped due to the economic crisis,
which has forced automakers to cut production.
