BEIJING (Dow Jones)–China”s natural rubber imports in April rose 29% from the same month last year to 180,000 metric tons, the General Administration of Customs said Tuesday.
In January-April, natural rubber imports totaled 560,000 tons, down 11.6% from the first four months of last year.
China, the world”s biggest importer of natural rubber, gets most of its supplies from Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
