17 July 2012: Thai USS3 Rubber Prices Rise; Growers Hold Stock

Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber rise to THB88.79-THB90.75/kg from THB87.87-THB89.25/kg Monday; arrivals are low this week as growers hold back supply in anticipation of further gains on Tocom, which jumped Tuesday, and additional government price intervention. Outside the central markets, factories are paying arond THB91-THB93/kg. Sales in Thailand’s three main central markets total around 56 tons Tuesday versus 22.6 tons Monday: 11 tons in Hat Yai, 39 tons in Surat Thani, 6 tons in Chandee.
