6 Oct 2011: Asian Physical Rubber Higher; Short Covering

Asian physical rubber prices are higher, in line with gains on bellwether Tocom. There are signs of short covering with traders buying in the market this week, says a major Thai exporter who is said to be selling aggressively; she adds “we are keen to sell as we need to keep production flowing and also balance our positions in the various markets.” Thailand”s RSS3 for November shipment changes hands at $4,130/ton, FOB.
