12 Oct 2011: Asian Physical Rubber Up; Thai Warehousing Woes

Asian physical rubber prices rise in line with gains on Tocom and Shanghai. Although Thai rain and floods are limiting arrivals, at least one major Thai producer is selling aggressively; “we are running out of warehousing space, as some buyers want to delay delivery due to flooding,” says a major player in southern Thailand. Thailand”s RSS3 for November shipment changes hands at $4,220/ton, CIF; STR20 trades at $4,250/ton, CIF. Indonesia”s November SIR20 is sold at $4,240/ton, FOB.
