Feb 15: Thai USS3 Rubber Prices Up; Arrivals Still Low

[Dow Jones] Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber rise to THB181.51-THB182.36/kg vs THB180.79-THB181.88/kg yesterday, as the bellwether Tocom hits a new record high and arrivals remain relatively low, below 100 tons. Overall, USS3 arrivals to the central markets this year have fallen sharply–down more than 40% on year in January, and more than half in the first two weeks of February. Outside the central markets, factories are paying around THB185-THB186/kg. Sales in Thailand”s three central markets total around 98.2 tons today versus 92.1 tons yesterday: 29.2 tons in Hat Yai, 31 tons in Surat Thani, 38 tons in Chandee.
