[Dow Jones] Asian physical rubber prices higher today, taking cues from rubber futures. Indonesia”s SIR20 traded around $3,140/ton, FOB, for April delivery, but volumes likely small, says trader in Medan; adds “I”m holding back supplies as prices are too low for SIR20 now given that we”re in wintering season; I think trading will only pick up at around the $3,180-$3,200/ton level”; prefers to sell higher grades: sold SIR 3CV at $3,350-$3,370/ton, FOB, for April delivery to Europe today. Thailand”s STR20 traded at $3,280/ton, FOB, for April delivery; one factory sold premium grade STR 5CV at $3,550/ton, FOB, for April delivery to Japan. Thailand facing supply crunch in raw material on wintering, drought. Another Thai factory has stopped taking orders for RSS3 for April delivery even though buyer bid at $3,280/ton, FOB, as it has already reached full production capacity for the delivery month.
