[Dow Jones] Tocom RSS3 rubber futures settle higher for fourth successive trading day, rise above Y290/kg for first time since September 2008. “Funds are expanding their portfolio of longs as they are under the impression that Y300/kg will be reached sooner rather than later, when they can opt for profit-taking,” exporter in Singapore says; adds strong Chinese demand in physical market and firm crude oil also supporting prices. Benchmark Tocom June contract settles Y4.1 higher at Y290.3/kg, near intraday high of Y291.4. (SAM)
