Dec 24: China Rubber Futures Up; To Stay Around CNY23,000/Ton

[Dow Jones] Natural rubber futures on SHFE settle higher, with benchmark contract hitting new 2009 high of CNY23,505/ton, tracking rallies in metals following dollar”s decline against euro, says Orient Securities Futures analyst He Jing; adds sharp crude oil price rise also lends support. Says rubber contracts may correct lower in coming sessions before new rally after New Year holidays. Tips rubber contracts to continue to hover around CNY23,000/ton, citing charts. Benchmark March contract settles CNY380, or 1.7%, higher at CNY23,340/ton. (LIY)
