TOKYO, Nov 17 (Reuters) – Japan’s crude rubber inventories
totalled a record low 3,902 tonnes as of Nov. 10, down 3.4
percent from 10 days earlier, data from the Rubber Trade
Association of Japan showed on Tuesday.
The previous record low was the 4,004 tonnes marked in
October last year.
A Tokyo-based broker said the decline was a mark of the
weakness in demand for rubber.
“It shows how slow domestic economic activity is,” he said.
The data is updated every 10 days.
