Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber rise to THB83.24/kg from THB80.55-THB81.09/kg Wednesday, as arrivals are low in Hat Yai and Chandee due to persistent rain; arrivals are healthy at Surat Thani as it’s the largest natural rubber producing region. Outside the central markets, factories are paying as much as THB85/kg, but growers are reluctant to sell, as they anticipate further prices gains. “Rubber has been oversold for far too long,” says a trader. Sales in Thailand’s three main central markets total around 184.3 tons Thursday versus 155.1 tons Wednesday: 19.3 tons in Hat Yai, 145 tons in Surat Thani, 20 tons in Chandee.
