25 Apr 2012: Thai USS3 Rubber Prices Rise On Low Output, Rain

Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber rise to THB106.33-THB106.59/kg from THB106.29-THB106.49/kg Tuesday, on continued tight supplies due to the low output season and persistent rain in south Thailand. “I don’t think there’s any hoarding, just very low production,” says a trader in Bangkok. Outside the central markets, factories are paying around THB107-THB109/kg. Sales in Thailand’s three main central markets total around 14.9 tons Wednesday versus 4.5 tons Tuesday: 2 tons in Hat Yai, 1.9 tons in Surat Thani, 11 tons in Chandee.
